Text | One of the principal questions of the day among the fraternity is, what shall be done with the revolvers? There is no distinction according to the rules, between an amateur and a professional player. This being the case, all that needs to be done, is for the club that first held a revolver to refuse to accept his resignation. This will it seems to us effectually kill the thing, as far as playing by the rules is concerned, but the clubs that make matches with these organizations that they know will play revolvers, will doubtless consent to call the games “social matches” or anything else, as long as they can reap the benefits of a first-class match, viz. stamps. |
