Text	McSweeny went in to pitch in the first inning, but the umpire ruled his delivery as a throw, and Martin was at once put in his place. Mr. Wilson is entitled to credit for discharging his duty in this matter without fear or favor. We have too few umpires who have the moral courage to decide what they really think in regard to throwing not to award him special praise for his impartiality in this respect.
