Text | The best joke of the season is reported to have been perpetrated in Chicago on Juy 8. President Hulbert had settled himself in a comfortable chair inside the field, when the catcher of the Bostons observed him, and said to the umpire: “Make that man move.” McLean went and promptly bounced Hulbert, to the audibly expressed delight of Harry Wright, on his read seat. |
