Text | Suppose that the brung of the battle falls on the speed of the pitcher, and that while having a catcher who can attend to the hottest fire of swiftly-pitched balls, you necessarily have to sacrifice many chances for catchers off long-hit foul balls back of the catcher’s position. By taking your “right-short from the field and placing him as a sort of long-stop, these missed chances at once become available. |
