Text | Everything seems to give promise of a very successful baseball season for the Summer of 1879. Business prospects are brighter than they have been since the time prior to the Panic of 1873; and such a furor for athletic sports generally prevails throughout the land that the professional class of the baseball fraternity should reap their share of the pecuniary profit which is likely to accrue from it. |
