Text | [from the Pittsburgh correspondent] I may be giving a little of the inside, when I say that the Brotherhood has discovered a flaw in the contract by which any man, it seems, can get his release after laying off a year. Does not the contract say the party of the second part agrees to be reserved the following year? “now,” as Deacon put it, “this means one year, and not years, and the Brotherhood decided that Rowe's case should be made the test case of this defect. They got good lawyers to examine it, who decided that there was nothing to prevent him from getting his release this way. |
