Text | [Boston vs. Cincinnati 5/15/1879] Jim White had to cover space behind the bat as wide as the side of a house in order to catch the erratic pitching of his awfully off brother. It is a wonder that his errors are so few, for his hands must be pulpy. If one didn't know that Will White doesn't drink, one should say he had been out the night before. |
