Text | They [the Excelsiors] complain that it is difficult to induce their men to turn out and exercise, and it was easy to see that their defeat was in a great measure owing to that cause, as their men showed no want of muscle and endurance, but were deficient in that sharpness and correct judgment which can only be acquired by constant practice. |
