Text | [from the Baltimore correspondent] Wednesday it rained, and the following day the politic Horace, for some reason, would not agree to the now common plan of playing two games the same afternoon for the usual price of admission, and, by the bye, the two-game business is believed to have originated in this city several years ago with the late Mr. A. T. Houck, the former principal partner of the Baltimore Club. |
