Text | ...it was gathered that the Eastern League in case of their not being sustained in their position by the Arbitration Committee [on placing a team in Baltimore], would cast loose from the provisions of the National Agreement and avail themselves of the services of the 25 or 30 disqualified players, such as Dunlap, Schaefer, Sweeney, Shaw, McCormick, Briody, Glasscock and the others whom they believe they need have no fear of engaging under the circumstances. It is not certainly known what 3will be the sequel, but the probabilties are that it will be another case of Union Association. |
