Text | In Allegheny, subscriptions to the amount of [illegible] have been raised for the purpose of reorganizing the old Allegheny nine. Al. Pratt, the club's old pitcher, is at the head of the movement. The Item Philadelphia September 18, 1881 Al. Pratt, once well known as a pitcher, is at the head of a movement to organize a first-class professional club in Pittsburg, Pa., for 1882,n and it is said that over two thousand dollars have already been subscribed for that purpose.
