| Text | [rules adopted by the Athletics:] That no lease of the grounds be made to any other club without the insertion of a clause in the lease stipulating that members of the Athletic Base Ball Club be admitted to the grounds at all times, free of charge. That in accepting challenges from clubs, or in sending challenges, it shall be with the condition that the Athletic Club shall have the right to place a man in the ticket-office whenever the gate-money is to be divided between the two clubs. This right to be extended to other clubs in games with us. That a new style of tickets for the members be adopted which will prevent members from loaning their tickets to other people with the intention of passing them into the grounds. ... That the Treasurer shall pay each player every week, upon presentation of an order drawn by the Secretary of the club, and countersigned by one of the Executive Committee, which order shall be retained by the Treasurer as his voucher. |
