The admirers of the home team [Detroit] are now more than ever convinced in their belief that the team is made up of material that will wear well to the end of the year. ... There are, of course, the usual number of fanatics who want the team to win everything and who pounce upon it when they drop a game, but it is a blessing that they are in a minority.
