Text | The members of the “Niagara Base Ball Club,” together with their friends and a delegation from the “Frontier” and “Erie” Clubs of this city, left for Rochester on Friday morning via the New York and Erie Railroad, to play a match game of Base Ball with the “Flour City Club” of that city, who sent them a challenge some weeks since. Through the kindness of the managers of that road, they were furnished with a special car, and also with Excursion Tickets at half the usual fare. At Avon they stopped for breakfast where they were joined by some of their members who left he evening previous, and two delegates from the “Flour City” Club. |
