Text | [from Harry Palmer's column] Your correspondent will endeavor to make the columns of the Evening Journal interesting to lovers of the game, notwithstanding that the paper will go to press too early to print the scores. There is lots of interesting news of the game aside from the score, and this the Journal will try to corral each afternoon. Dewitt Ray, who “does the game” for the Evening Mail, is one of the brightest of the bright among our local scribes. A scrap book full of Dewitt's bright comments thus far this season would make an interesting collection. |
