Text | COHOES, July 12, 1859 To the Editors of the Sunday Mercury: GENTLEMEN: Will you have the kindness to decide the following question? In a game of Base Ball, has a player who has struck out a right to the bat again during the same inning? W.A. Of course, he has when his turn comes around again. There is nothing in the Rules which prescribes a heavier penalty for a player who “strikes out” than for one who gets out in any other way. |
