Text | [reporting the PL meeting 11/11] The Buffalo Club's affairs were then considered. Mr. Gilbert reported that the club had no cash on hand and no means of paying its debts. Player-delegate White stated that there were arrearages of salary and made an appeal for settlement. Secretary Brunell reported that the Buffalo Club owed its players about $9000. The matter was laid on the table, but taken up again Wednesday and referred to the Emergency Committee with recommendation to take vigorous action. |
