Text | Manager Charles C. Waitt has located himself at Easton, one of the best base ball towns in the State of Pennsylvania, and at the head of a very strong nine will be ready to receive all clubs after May 1. The enthusiasm is once more at fever-heat in Easton, and a repetition of the successful season of 1874 is anticipated. Wealthy men are at the head of the movement, and all players are under contract for six months. The nine includes the following well-known players... Parks l.f. ... Parks and Dockert are natives of Easton, and the other seven players hail from Philadelphia, five of them having formerly played with the Athletics. |
