Text The fourth edition of Spalding's Official Base Ball Guide has just been issued and should be in the hands of all those who are interested in base ball. The book is filled with valuable statistics, the records of all the games played last year, and is without a doubt, the most valuable hand-book on the game ever published. Besides containing valuable statistics, it has handsome half-tone portraits of all the leading players in America. Some of the pictures are as follows: Reitz, Anson, Griffin, Glasscock and Zimmer, the League's leading players in 1894; the three presidents, A.G. Mills, N.E. Young and W.A. Hulbert; P.T. Powers, A.G. Spalding; Sioux City Club, Champions of Western League in 1894; also group pictures of the Washington, Pittsburg, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Cleveland, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Brooklyn, and New York Clubs, as well as the famous Red Stockings of '69, Rock Island-Malone, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Yale, and Harvard teams. The book will be sent to any address in the United States upon receipt of price, 10 cents, postpaid by the American Sports Publishing Co., 241 Broadway, New York.
