Text | The convention was unanimous in its condemnation of the practice of playing members of clubs in matches who were at the same time attached to other clubs, and the amendment putting a stop to the custom was adopted with one voice. This rule bears upon every club belonging to the National Association, and consequently will exclude Fisler and Theodore Bomeisler of the Philadelphia clubs playing in the Eckford and Eureka games, and likewise Reach from the Athletic, unless he decides to leave the Eckford club, as, we understand, he has done. |
