Text | The League wanted the Brotherhood to change its schedule; there is no doubt about that, and there is some disappointment at the result of the recent meeting in New York. It would have given the League a decided advantage over its rivals to have had a monopoly of the first part of the season in such cities as New York, Boston and Chicago. Experience has demonstrated that the first two months of the season are generally the banner months so far as the gate receipts are concerned, and the Brotherhood seems to have reasoned that fact and they propose to make the most of it. |
