Text | After the [Brotherhood] committee meeting and just prior to the Detroit-St. Louis game the Brotherhood lawyer, Mr. Blackhurst, and the League lawyer, Col. Rogers, were brought together by the editor of The Sporting Life and the two had an informal interchange of views on the “contract” and “recognition” questions. The conference was amicable and led to the clearing away of some doubts and misconstructions and it is possible that it may yet lead to a peaceful settlement of the issue between the League and its players. |
