Text | The Allegheny Club held a special meeting July 14, when the treasurer’s report showed a flourishing financial condition, there being a balance in bank of about $2,700. A resolution was adopted recommending the directors to correspond with the leading players, and to spare no pains to make the Allegheny team of 1883 the strongest in the United States. |
