Text | Charles H. Turner, treasurer of the St. Louis Club, has, on behalf of its creditors, received judgment in the amount of $6,500 against the stockholders. Several declare their intention to fight the matter out. New York Sunday Mercury March 17, 1878 Mr. Charles H. Turner, treasurer of the St. Louis Baseball club, on behalf of the directors, sued a large number of the members to compel them to pay up the balance due on their subscriptions, and executions have been ordered to issue against the defendants in sums varying from $12 to $90.
