Text	It is of the utmost important to the League and proposed International Association that amicable relations exist between them. Two things seem requisite to bring about this condition–mutual respect of players’ engagements and a fair adjustment of shares in gate receipts. The League did not respect engagements of players with non-league clubs last year and asked for a larger share of receipts than the International clubs will be likely to allow this year. The latter will probably argue that it is nothing to them that League clubs are obliged to charge double their admission fees in order to pay high-salaried players; if they (the International clubs) play as good as game as League clubs, they have an equal claim on gate receipts, and should not be required to give guarantees and run all the risks.
