Text	The point of play by our experienced clubs now is for the second-baseman to play right short, leaving the second uncovered until a man reaches his first, it being the short fielder's duty to watch balls toward second base, and the third baseman's place to act partly as short-stop; but of course these positions are changed according to the man at the bat, the positions referred to being only a general rule, and for positions when no players are on the bases.
