Text | In consequence of the bereavement suffered by the nation in the death of its beloved Chief Magistrate, Abraham, Lincoln, the Eagle Base Ball Club have concluded to postpone their visit to Philadelphia until Friday, May 5th. Philadelphia City Item April 22, 1864 In consequence of the death of Mr. Andrew McBride (father of the Pitcher of the Athletic Club,) the Eagle Club of New York has been requested to postpone its visit until Friday, May 12th.
