| Description | Hamilton Square on NYC's upper east side was between 3rd and 4th Avenues, and 66th-69th Sts., about where Hunter College now stands. This square should not be confused with the more modern Hamilton Square. The early Hamilton Square was sold to developers in 1867-68. It covered 24 acres on all.
