Description	The Richmond Times, July 11, 1866 announces the formation of this club, in the Union Hill neighborhood of Richmond. Richmond Dispatch, Aug. 1, 1866 has the Ashby to play the Richmond BBC, at Eba Park in Rutherford's Field, Grace and Franklin Sts. Club probably named after CS hero General Turner Ashby. Richmond Dispatch, Aug. 14, 1867: "A new base-ball club, bearing the name of the gallant Ashby, has been organized on Union Hill. The following is a list of the officers : President, B. Davis, Vice President, George D. Pearman ; Treasurer, William Newell; Secretary, R. J. Pollard ; First Director, Walter Estutz ; Second Director, Barney Briel ; Third Director, J. W. Thomas." A re-organization of the above club?
