Data	“Pize-ball” was included in a childhood reminiscence of a Shipley, West Yorkshire, man recalling how he celebrated Whitsuntide 50 years earlier. A newspaper reported that among other things, “different games were played, 'pize' ball, kissing in the ring, etc.”
