Data | “Base” was played at an excursion to Coldham Hall, a grand country house, by workmen in the employ of Mr. Welton, a coach builder in Norwich, Norfolk. A newspaper mentioned that “After spending a most agreeable day at cricket, base, and other sports, they say down to a well-spread table furnished by Mr. Welton.” |
