Data | “Base” was again a featured game at an annual treat for workers from Norwich at an annual treat held in Whitlingham, Norfolk. This time the celebrants were employees of “Messrs. Clark and Hunter,” a company of upholsterers and carpet layers. According to a news report, “after dinner the men enjoyed themselves for a time at cricket, base &c.” |
