Data | A newspaper reported that “baseball” was played at the second annual outing to the village of Finchdean, Hampshire, for employees of the Paragon Bakery of Portsmouth and their families. “The party proceeded to Finchdean in a brake, and, the weather being fine, an enjoyable holiday was spent. Cricket, baseball, and other games were played, and tea was served at the George Inn.” |
