Data | “Base ball” was played at a treat provided for the boys' choirs of the St. Nicolas and All Saints' Churches in the town of Witham in Essex: “A cricket match was played between the choirs...The St. Nicolas choir won by a few runs. Base ball was also indulged in. After these sports the youngsters partook of a capital tea in the Chipping Hill Schools.” |
