Data | "Base-ball" play was reported at an open-air fete of the Conservative Party-associated Primrose League in Bottisham, East Cambridgeshire: "During the afternoon selections of music were played by the Sawston brass band, and numerous sports, such as quoits, base-ball, &c., were indulged in. Tea was also provided. A cricket match between "married and single" elevens of the Bottisham and Swaffham people was played in the afternoon and resulted in favour of the "single" eleven." |
