| Data | “Base ball” was among the games played by children of the Church Sunday Schools of West Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, at their annual treat. After proceeding the the vicarage grounds and playing for a while, they sat down to a tea. “The usual amusements were then continued, many of the elderly matrons joining with great spirit with the children at base ball, drop glove, &c.” |
