Data | “Baseball” was listed as one of the activities enjoyed by children attending the Congregational Sunday School of Burnham, a small village in southern Buckinghamshire, at their annual treat held in the nearby woodland of Burnham Beeches. A newspaper reported that “soon after their arrival various diversions were entered into—cricket, baseball, French tag &c.” |
