Data | “Ball bias” was named in a newspaper advertisement as one of the amusements to be offered at the upcoming Grand Temperance Rural Festival to be held near Maidstone, Kent. According to the ad, “various amusements will be permitted during the day, as cricket, archery, ball bias, &c. &c.” |
