| Data | “Baseball” was one of the entertainments offered children of the Carey Sunday School of Reading, Berkshire, at their annual summer outing. A newspaper reported that “useful prizes were given to the scholars for racing, &c. Others indulged in donkey rides, cricket, football, baseball and other amusements.” |
