Description

Silverton had a BBC in 1884. See the Silverton Democrat, July 26, Aug. 2, 1884; San Juan Herald, Aug. 21, 1884

The Silverton [CO] Standard, May 10, 1890: "The base ball club of Silverton is very anxious that the clubs in this section forma league and arrange for a series of games to be played during the summer." The article mentions potential challengers in Ouray, Fort Crawford, Fort Lewis, Durango, Red Mountain, Ironton and Montrose, but isn't specific on whether these towns actually had BBCs.

Silverton was established in 1874.
