Description | The Excelsior Club grounds, described as Flat Rock, is said to be near Madison and Boundary (now, North) Avenues. See Baltimore Exchange, July 13, 1859, April 2, 30, 1860. This would be just south of modern Druid Hill Park, and at/near the Monumental Park mentioned in Lowrey's "Green Cathedrals." See also Morris, "Base Ball Pioneers." |
