Description	The New York Clipper, Jan. 7, 1871, reviewing the 1870 record of the Rincon BBC, said to be the champion junior club of CA, says they played the University Mound of Bay View, the Little Atlantic of Marysville, and the Young Eagle of San Jose. The Daily Alta Californian, Nov. 18, 1866 reports: "A base ball club is being organized in San Jose." Thus it is likely baseball started here in 1866.
