Comment | I have not been able to locate this site. However, there is in South Richmond (formerly Manchester) a neighborhood called Stratford Hills. The Richmond Daily Dispatch, March 7, 1872, says the park was at the southern end of Manchester. Same Oct. 31, 1878 traces a parade that marched from Stratford Park to Cowardine Ave, then to Hull St. Then to Bridge Ave. and the Free (9th st.) Bridge over the James.
