Description

The Chicago Tribune, July 27, 1867, has an extensive article on the State base ball convention. Among the clubs sending delegates was the Riverside of Dixon. The Dixon Telegraph & Herald July 21, 1870 reports on a game in Dixon, "on the flat west of the Central [RR]" between the Riversides and the Potter Palmer nine of Chicago.
