Description | The Hyde Park Herald, April 5, 1884: "The Pullman Base Ball Club intend building a large grandstand this year." The April 12, 1884 issue gives the names of the team members. The "first uniformed baseball team playing in the town of Pullman [was] in the Spring of 1889." Pullman Car Works Standard, vol. 3, no. 1, May 1928, cited in Where The Trails Cross, 19:94. Pullman was a town built 1880-1884 by the Pullman Company. |
