Description | The Harlem BBC held a picnic at Gaden's Grove and played baseball there. Forest Park was known as Harlem until 1907. Harlem had 923 residents in 1880 and 4035 in 1900. Gaden's Grove was a well-known picnic spot at the corner of Des Plaines and Madison, in Harlem. |
