Description | The Jacksonville Daily Courier, Aug. 14, 1883, claims the Hardin Club was organized in 1863. The Chicago Tribune, Sept. 13, 1866, says the Hardin Club of Jacksonville attended the state baseball tournament in Bloomington. Same Sept. 25, 1866 reports that the Occidentals of Quincy defeated the Hardins of Jacksonville 21 to 14 at Quincy on the 24th. The Daily Illinois State Journal, Aug. 14, 1867, says the Union BBC of Jacksonville will play the Enterprise BBC of Peoria. The same article also mentions the Hardin, Morgan and Hercules BBCs of that city. |
