Description	The Cosmopolitan Club of San Francisco was organized May 24, 1866. See Morris et al., "Base Ball Pioneers," p. 332. It was considered the most professionally oriented of the early SF clubs. The San Francisco Bulletin Oct. 13, 1866 noted that the Cosmopolitans were composed of young lawyers and law students. The club existed 1866-67.
