Description

A newspaper reports that the first match game ever has been played in Columbia. Columbia Statesman, April 10, 1868. This was the Columbia vs. the University Club, the latter winning by 10 runs.

Columbia Statesman, May 3, 1867 reports that a BBC has been formed.

Columbia MO (1880 pop. about 3,300) is about 130 miles W of St. Louis.
