Description	Per Hibbard, "Platteville," p. 45, on June 8, 1867 the Normal School team lost to the Darlington BBC 16-15 at Strawberry Diggings in Lafayette County. See also Platteville Grant County Witness, June 13, 1867. A Club of Platteville played Galena on July 8, 1867. See games tabulation. Same club as the Normal School? No. The Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Aug. 19, 1945, citing a 1908 book on Galena baseball, says on Aug. 2, 1871, a Galena team beat Platteville 70-19 at Platteville. In the return match a few days later in Galena, Platteville won.
